Earn passive income renting out your GPU

GPUs are in high demand with the current AI wave. If you own GPUs, you can make use of that to earn massive returns on investment (40% to 150%) by renting them out to AI companies, universities and hobbyists. This guide will show you how to take your GPUs online at https://gpudeploy.com in a few simple clicks and earn money on your node right away.

Step 1: System requirements

To add your node on gpudeploy.com, you need the following system requirements:

  1. Linux (preferably Ubuntu 22.04 LTS) with root privileges.
  2. At least 128GB of disk space.
  3. At least 8GB of CPU RAM.
  4. An Nvidia GPU with up-to-date drivers.
  5. Ports 5000-5999 should be opened.

Follow this link for help with opening ports. For further help with onboarding, message contact@gpudeploy.com, including if you operate a bigger cluster that runs Kubernetes or Slurm. We will take care of onboarding and help with any technical questions.

Step 2: Sign up for GPU Deploy

If you don't have an account yet, head over to https://gpudeploy.com and click on "Sign in" on the navigation menu. This will prompt you with the login popup. At the bottom of the popup, click on "Create account" to open the registration form. Once you have entered your email, we will send you a magic link. Follow the link or paste it into your browser.

After the page loads, you are redirected to your dashboard. That's it, you're all signed up! If you want to launch an instance, you can do this on the dashboard. To set up your own node, read on below.

Step 3: Set up billing

To get paid, you need to onboard to Strip connect. If you have already onboarded, you can skip this section. Otherwise, click on "Payouts" in the menu on the left and follow the onboarding flow. This will lead you to Stripe connect, where you can fill in your bank details. Once you are done with that, you will be redirected to your control center, and should see your connected bank account.

Step 4: Connecting your server

After onboarding with Stripe, head back to the "Connected nodes" menu and click on the button to add a new GPU node.

This brings you to the setup page. First, enter your node's location and click "Next". Confirm that you meet all requirements by clicking on "I understand, proceed with adding a node" and continue.

Finally, you will see the installation instructions. On your server, run the listed commands. You can copy them into your clipboard by clicking the clipboard icon in the top right corner. The most important command to execute is the the first one. This command registers your node in our cluster using your unique token. Keep this token private. To manually copy the command, make sure to reveal the token first. You can see what revealing the token looks like below.

Once you have run all commands on your node, head back to "Connected nodes" and you should see your node. To complete setting up your node, click the respective button on the "Connected nodes" page, enter your hourly rate, and confirm. Finally, once you click on "Enable", your node is live and will be rented out via our network.

Now your part is done - you can sit back, relax, and let us take care of the rest.
